Next turn, The Peebles, though still looks like a "son of onions" as they look far more mature than their outward appearance. Proven they can add a hot atmosphere, and invites the insurgent army followed the rebound screaming rock song which they bring. The Peebles also received warm applause from the insurgent army who satisfied by their appearance. And one more thing there is a quote that fit perfectly with them is "Do not judge a book by its cover."

The turn is preparing to shake up the stage, Karockes. The Karockes itself is a band consisting of the organizing committee of Insurgent Army91 Jakarta. Their appearance was stunning even arguably "rockes" (riot) in accordance with their band name. But that's the Karockes, which again add to the hot atmosphere vanue.

Finally, right at 20:00 tonight, the star who has been waited for nearly two hours, appeared on stage. Suddenly the Insurgent Army were shouting "The S.I.G.I.T .... The S.I.G.I.T ... The S.I.G.I.T.". Staying up for this weekend
Loosing up all the defence
My back feels like broken
I can’t stop me from smokin
Like a diamond to a women
Like a demon in your hand
can’t feel my mind
feel what’s mine
feel my mind
Should I smile when I am low
The world are strange so I blow
It’s better to burn out and die
It’s better than rust with LIES
Like a gangster thee roams at night
Like a cheater, run and hide
Gone with a whirl, in a swirl
and chopped real rudely
All by my fingers
All by my self
because I’m so destructive

Efek Rumah Kaca - Kamar Gelap (Dark Room): Spit Side Extroverts

Posted by resrsr

For a moment let us return to the back of a second. Exactly a year ago when the Efek Rumah Kacat show brings a fresh new concept to the realm of pop music homeland. Integrate content fairly heavy (photographing phenomena era) and then pack it with a simple background music: pop. If it is not excessive may be practically self titled debut album they are most commendable in 2007. Look at the massive barrage of praise from a handful of print media's enthusiastic review of their first full album. Not to mention of Internet journalists. All the racing seems to be the best reviewers for the album ERK.

Not much different from their first release, for this second album of his euphoria too. Again, many people put great hopes will be the works of new & quality ERK. They are impatiently waiting for the album, titled Dark Room is off to the market. The first album ERK into the satisfactory category, so expectations of the people for their second album to be more satisfactory.
For some bands who do not have stock of the song that much after they released an album, this may be a little heavy for making the next album. Especially if their first full album success. Being a burden to produce further works are as good as previous works.

But fortunately not the case with ERK. They can be spelled quite productive. They have a song that pretty much stock. Since ERK was formed in 2001 they have written many songs. Even some songs that are in the Dark Room has been created from a few years ago. I think they do not have to worry about running out of supplies. And therefore natural that they spawned a new album with a range of time not too long compared to the previous album.

On the album, Dark Room, ERK presents 12 tracks that can be spelled quite varied. In contrast to their self-titled. Your body is opened with blue ... Tragic. The first time I heard this song when ERK play it acoustic on the radio 68H. At that time they still promo first album. Musically I do not have a different rate when ERK introduce the song then and now when this song has entered the second album. However, there are slightly different lyrical. There are several pieces lyrics are changed but still does not eliminate the intent to be conveyed.

Next is You and I Go In My Room on the second track. Beat up one of the songs on this album but still a bit dark shades. For the lyrics in this song Cholil assisted by his wife, Irma Hidayana. Irma also help Cholil in song Shy Men. On the third track is a stomping song reminds me of the spirit of the song In The Air on their first album, Vote of no-confidence. This song tells about their distrust of the people on behalf of the people in the seats of government. The difference with On Air, ERK appears in this song with the punk spirit of the passionate. Could be heard clearly through the drum beat Akbar. Cholil rebound vocal also sounded very firm.
Next there is the fourth song on the track Loneliness. This is my favorite sad song on this album. Rain Do not Angry fill the next track. Is a reflection of ERK tracks. Got a favorite song when I first heard. But now his position taken by another song.

Next date back to the previous track is increased after 2 consecutive slow tempo. Filled by the first single on this album, Juvenile Delinquency in the Era of Information. This song clearly shows how ERK became very aggressive and open in the work.Images of this song is very naughty and cheerful with a bandage indie rock sound is thick. ERK able to get out of the gloom pattern minimalist music. ERK quite subtle exploration of music in this song. As a single introduction, Juvenile Delinquency in the Age of Information is very fitting and wearing in the ear of the listener.

On the track number seven is a pretty heavy song, make think, and hopefully (at least in my opinion), Becoming Indonesia. For those who never read a book by Parakitri T. Simbolon with the same title may be familiar with the title song of this ERK. To create this song title ERK inspired by the book by the authors.

Dark Room filling the next track. The song is also used as a title of their album. I really like this song. This song seems deliberately taken to the title of the album because the album this time ERK creative with art photographers from Yogyakarta, Angki Purbandono Dark Room to work on artwork.

Ninth song Do not Burn Books. Tells of the book burning protest that had occurred some time ago. In this song ERK is assisted by two guest musicians, Ade Paloh (AFTERNOON) and Iman Fattah (Zeke and The Popo). Ade Paloh help fill the vocals on this song. While Iman Fattah contributed guitar.

My other favorite song A lot of smoke in Sana is on track ten.Followed by two final tracks, male Shy and ballerina. In Shy Men ERK also assisted guest musicians. This time is also Ramondo Gascaro of additional fill AFTERNOON keyboard instrument in this song. For help writing lyrics back Irma Cholil.

Dark Room Series album ends on the twelfth to the accompaniment of song tracks cheerful ballerina. Cheerful songs that reflect a balance. At least can be used as motivation to undergo episodes life.

Keep in mind also on this album ERK does not work alone. Dark Room is a masterpiece of tandem between ERK and Angki Purbandono (photographic artists from Yogyakarta and also activist MES56). ERK creating audio works (through their songs) while Angki create visual works of photography with album artwork resemble Dark Room. Until this be a concept album, both ERK audio-photography.

But to be honest I'm not too satisfied with the results of the final packaging. It is not satisfied with the works Angki's photo, not .. but rather to its packaging that impressed in a hurry. My expectations for packaging the album as great as the expectations will be the works of ERK song. But I'm not satisfied in terms of packaging. The impression in a hurry may be seen on the back cover for writing code ring back tone is wrong for one provider. RBT correct code has been revised and can be seen on myspace ERK. Also, for the song text attachments only in print in plain paper with no design at all. Yes, very unfortunate course. And I hope twelfth Angki photographs that can be packed full of meaning such that the result is really the maximum.
However, overall the works of ERK in the second release they deserve more appreciation. ERK dare to explore their music into other areas. If the first album is very dark with the dominance of slow tempo songs, the album Dark Room show their rock side with a few upbeat songs. The twelve songs that fill this album shows how ERK has matured to create new works better and more promising.
